Improved design of steam exhaust system for secondary cooling chamber of slab caster

To solve the problem of a large amount of water vapor in secondary cooling chamber of a slab caster, presents the deficiency of the current steam exhaust system, proposes several improvement measures, and analyses their feasibility. Theoretical analysis and implementation results show that, to avoid the water vapor accumulating and releasing from the secondary cooling chamber,the exhaust duct should be mounted between the secondary cooling chamber of two-strand slab caster, and connected to the new exhaust fan, then the steam from the inside of slab can be exhausted directly and effectively.
